Hutton Way Car Park

Right, Hutton Way Car Park. It's free, which is always a bonus in Southport, but it's a bit out of the way in Ormskirk – so don't get it mixed up with town centre parking. If you're heading to Churchtown or the Botanic Gardens, this isn't really handy, but if you're visiting Edge Hill University Ormskirk campus it's ideal.

Now, it only gets a 2.0 rating on Google from a couple of reviews, so manage your expectations. I've not personally had any bother, but worth bearing in mind. It’s just a basic car park, nothing fancy, and I've never known it to be rammed full, but it's not massive either.

It's open 24/7, so no worries about getting locked in overnight – unless you're planning on sleeping in the car. I wouldn't recommend it, mind. You can find it on Hutton Way, obviously.

Just a heads up, it's a bit of a walk to the main Ormskirk shops from there, so wear comfy shoes if you're planning on doing some shopping. And double-check the location before you set off, you don't want to end up in the wrong Ormskirk!
