Right, so Park Pool Car Park... it's in Ormskirk, not Southport proper, but it's handy if you're coming from that direction. And the big plus? It's free, which is always a win. It's basically just a big open space, nothing fancy, but it does the job.

It can get a bit busy on weekends, especially if there's something on at the park itself, so bear that in mind. It's a decent option if you're heading into Ormskirk town centre and don't want to pay for parking closer in.

It's located right by Park Pool, unsurprisingly, and not too far from Edge Hill University if you're visiting someone there. It's not the prettiest car park in the world, but hey, free is free!

Just a heads-up, there aren't any marked bays, so it can be a bit of a free-for-all when it's busy. Get there early if you want a decent spot.
