Alright, so you're looking for a place to crash in town? Arthur's Bar & Accommodation is right in the thick of it, smack-bang in Southport town centre. It gets a solid 4.3 stars on Google from over 340 reviews, so people generally seem happy enough. They've got rooms and a bar downstairs which is handy – open from midday most days, cracking on till midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.

It's not the cheapest place in the world – think mid-range prices. But location-wise, you can't fault it. It's more of a couples or mates place than a family spot, if I'm honest. If you are coming for The Open at Birkdale in 2026 (which is gonna be mega!), it's a decent shout — easy enough to get to the course from here, but book well in advance, I reckon.
