Fancy a curry night out in town? Indian Kitchen is a solid shout. It gets a 4.0 from 92 Google reviews, so you know it's consistently decent. It's not gonna blow your mind, but you'll get a good, reliable feed. They're open every day except Tuesday, but only in the evenings, 5 'til 9:30.

It's a pretty relaxed atmosphere, so it works for both families and couples I reckon. Nothing too fancy, just your standard Indian restaurant vibe. They do all the usual dishes – your baltis, kormas, vindaloos, etc. Nothing too out-there on the menu, but they do them well. I always go for the Chicken Tikka Masala, never lets me down.

You can find them right in the centre of Southport, so easy to get to. If you're thinking of going on a Friday or Saturday, especially with a group, you're probably best giving them a ring on 01704 227700 to book a table. Saves you waiting around.

One heads up: parking in town can be a pain, so give yourself a bit of extra time to find a spot, especially at the weekend.
