Kasturi Restaurant Southport

If you're after a decent Indian in town, Kasturi is a pretty solid bet. It's handily located right in the centre of Southport, so easy to get to after a few drinks or before a show at the Floral Hall. They do a pretty standard menu of curries and tandoori dishes, nothing too wild, but always tasty and reliable. With a 4.6 rating from over 400 Google reviews, it's clear plenty of folks agree.

The inside is modern and clean, not like some of the older, darker curry houses you sometimes find. It's not a massive place, so it can get a bit lively when it's busy, but it's generally got a good atmosphere. It's more of a restaurant vibe than a bar, so don't expect a crazy night out, but it's a good spot for a relaxed meal. They're closed on Mondays, but open every other night from 4:30pm till 10pm.

They reckon they specialise in Mughal dishes – I couldn't tell you the difference, to be honest, but it all tastes good to me! Price-wise, it's not the cheapest curry in town, but it's not going to break the bank either – call it mid-range.
