Master McGraths

Master McGraths, out on the Ormskirk Road, is a solid choice if you're looking for something a bit special without going totally over the top. It's got a 4.7 rating from over 850 Google reviews, which is always a good sign. They do a bit of everything on the food front, so you should find something for everyone.

The inside is all old beams and wood panelling, with candles on the tables, so it's got a nice, cosy feel. I reckon it's a good shout for couples wanting a night out, but families would be fine there too. It's not a massive place, so it feels quite intimate.

They're open every day, but close a bit earlier on Sundays (6:30pm). Weekday evenings they close at 8pm, and 8:30pm on Friday and Saturday. Judging by the atmosphere, I'd say it's more of an evening place than somewhere for a quick lunch.
