Nando's Southport

Alright, so you're after some chicken? Nando's on Lord Street is your shout. I've been a few times, it's solid enough. It's a chain, yeah, but you know what you're getting: Afro-Portuguese style chicken with that peri-peri sauce. They do the different heat levels, so even the kids can get involved without breathing fire. It gets a 4.0 on Google from over 800 reviews, so most people seem happy enough.

It's a decent spot for families, I reckon. Plenty of space and the menu is straightforward. Couples go there too, it's casual and easy. It's not exactly romantic, mind you, but it's a good shout if you're after something quick and informal. Price-wise, it's mid-range, so not the cheapest but not going to break the bank either.

They're open pretty much all day, every day – 11:30am to 10pm. You can find them right in the town centre, so handy for everything else. Their number is 01704 537315 if you want to call, but I've usually just walked in.
