Alright, so Sandbrook Chippy. Listen, if you're dead set on fish and chips in town, and you don't want to break the bank, this is your place. It's got a solid 4.0 stars from over 120 reviews on Google, so it's not just me saying it's decent. It's proper budget-friendly, so ideal if you've spent all your money in the arcades already.

It's a traditional chippy, nothing fancy, but they do a good job. Think cod, haddock, sausage, pies, the usual stuff. It's the kind of place that suits families needing a quick tea after a day on the beach, or couples grabbing something before heading to the cinema. It's open every night except Monday, 4pm til 10pm.

It's not massive inside, so you might be queuing out the door on a Friday or Saturday night – especially in summer. I've never actually booked, but you might want to ring ahead on 01704 577896 if you're a big group and want to eat in, just to be sure. They're on Facebook, but don't bother with the website, it's just their Facebook page.

One thing to remember: they only open at 4pm, so don't go expecting a lunchtime chippy tea.
