If you're headed out towards Banks, and fancy a proper sandwich, the Sandwich Shop & Deli is a solid shout. It's got a cracking 4.8 stars from 84 Google reviews, so you know it's not just me saying it’s good. They do what they say on the tin – sandwiches and deli bits – perfect for a quick and easy lunch. It's not a fancy sit-down place, more of a grab-and-go kind of deal.

It's ideal if you're just after something quick and tasty. I reckon it suits couples popping in for lunch, or families grabbing stuff for a picnic. It's definitely budget-friendly, so you won't break the bank. The atmosphere is pretty laid-back and friendly, nothing pretentious.

They're only open until 2pm every day (and closed Sundays) so don’t be rolling up late expecting a butty. Give them a ring on 01704 807084 if you're after a big order, or just want to check how busy they are, especially on a Saturday.

Worth noting they get pretty busy around lunchtime, so get there a bit earlier if you can to avoid the queues. Parking can be a bit tight right outside, so you might need to park up the street and walk.
