Alright, so you're looking for a decent meal out near Southport? The Scullery Restaurant at Hurlston Hall in Ormskirk is worth a look. I've been a couple of times, and it's usually pretty good. They've got a 4.4 rating from 36 Google reviews, so it's not just me who thinks so.

It's got that golf club sort of vibe, but don't let that put you off. The food is solid, a modern take on British classics. It's a good spot for both couples and families. They're open late on weekends, until 10pm Friday through Sunday, which is handy if you fancy a proper night out.
