About The Ships Wheel Restaurant
The Ships Wheel out in Scarisbrick is proper good, I have to say. It's got a perfect 5.0 on Google right now, but only from a couple of reviews, so don't take that as gospel, mind you. I've heard good things though. It's a restaurant, so it's not exactly rocket science, but it's worth knowing about, especially if you're heading that way.
It's a bit out of town, so probably best for couples or families who don't mind a short drive, rather than a big group after a night on the tiles. I reckon it's the kind of place that's nice and relaxed, somewhere you can actually hear each other talk. I don't know the menu inside out, but I'd wager it's solid, home-cooked fare.
Give them a ring on the blower if you're planning on going at the weekend, just to be sure you can get a table. You wouldn't want to turn up and be disappointed, especially if you've got the kids in tow.
