Birkdale Boutique is your go-to if you need something a bit special in the wardrobe department. It's got a good 4.2 stars on Google from 5 reviews, which ain't bad for a local place. It's not Primark prices, mind, but the quality is decent and you'll find stuff you won’t see everyone else wearing down Lord Street.

It’s in Birkdale village, so you can easily make a day of it with a coffee and a mooch. It's a nice spot, Birkdale. There are a few other smaller shops to browse, too.

Parking can be a pain in Birkdale, especially on a Saturday. Give yourself a bit of extra time to find a spot, or maybe hop on the train – the station is right there.
