Medusa Gems Gift Shop

Looking for something a little different? Medusa Gems on Lord Street is where I head when I need a gift that isn't your average box of chocolates. They've got all sorts of crystals, fossils, and jewellery – that sort of thing. It's not a massive shop, but they pack a lot in.

The Google reviews are pretty solid – 4.7 stars from 75 reviews ain't bad. I reckon that's down to the staff being pretty helpful, even if you don't know your amethyst from your elbow. They're open every day except Monday, usually from 10am to 4:30pm, so plenty of time to pop in.

It's located right on Lord Street so easy to find, though parking can be a pain as always. If you're driving, try the side streets or the car park near the Atkinson. Give them a ring on 01704 542999 if you're after something specific, they might be able to help.

Worth a look if you're after a unique present or just fancy browsing some shiny rocks. Just be warned, it's easy to get carried away and spend more than you planned!
