Alright, so Scott Drive Superstore. Don't let the name fool you - it's basically a decent convenience shop that also does takeaway food. It's on the Ormskirk Road, so technically it's Southport, Merseyside, but right on the edge towards Aughton. If you're heading that way, and need a quick pint of milk or fancy a burger, it's a good shout.

They've got a 4.3 rating on Google from 16 reviews, so people seem pretty happy. I wouldn't go expecting gourmet grub, but it's solid stuff. They do pizzas, burgers, that kind of thing. Plus, they're open late. I think they're trying to be a one-stop shop for the locals.
