Superdrug

Need some sun cream, a new lipstick, or just ran out of shampoo? Southport's Superdrug on Chapel Street is your reliable stop. It's got pretty much everything you'd expect from a decent-sized branch, and the prices are usually competitive. It's handier than trekking out to the big retail parks if you're already in town.

The staff are usually sound – I've never had any bother. It's rated 4.3 stars from 81 reviews on Google, which isn't bad going. I popped in last week for some aftershave, and the checkout lady was proper friendly. They're open every day, but close a bit earlier on Sundays (10:30 AM to 4:30 PM) than the rest of the week (9:00 AM to 5:30 PM).

You know what you're getting with Superdrug. It ain't fancy, but it's a solid option. They stock all the big brands and some of their own-brand stuff, which is often a bargain.

Just a heads-up: Chapel Street can get rammed on Saturdays, so give yourself a bit of extra time if you're heading there then.
