Alright, so if you're knocking about Lord Street and fancy a decent drink, RA Bar is worth a shout. It's got a solid 4.6 stars on Google from over 200 reviews, so they're clearly doing something right. It's not exactly The Sands Venue, but it's a good mid-range option, price-wise.

It's open pretty late most nights, midnight on Friday and Saturday, which is handy. The vibe is more cocktail bar than local boozer, so expect a bit of a buzz, especially later on. I've been a few times, and it can get pretty lively, especially on weekends. Gets a bit loud for my liking sometimes, to be honest, but the drinks are good.

They're open from midday every day, so you could pop in for a lunchtime pint if you're that way inclined. It’s a good option if you’re after something a bit more upmarket than your average pub, but not as pretentious as some of the posher places around here.
