Bill Rimmer's Cafe and Tea Room

Bill Rimmer's Cafe is a good shout if you're near Halsall and fancy a cuppa and a bit of cake. It's got a solid 4.5 stars on Google from nearly 300 reviews, so they're doing something right. It's definitely more of a relaxed sit-down place than a quick grab-and-go, mind. They do a proper afternoon tea thing, if you're into that.

It's a proper little cafe, so expect good coffee and a decent selection of cakes and light bites. Perfect for a rainy Tuesday when you've got nowhere else to be, especially as it's pretty budget-friendly. I wouldn't say it's the most exciting place in Southport, but it's reliable and the staff are always friendly.

They're closed Mondays, but open every other day, usually from 9ish until mid-afternoon, give or take. Sundays they open a bit later, at 10. Check the times before you head out, just in case they've changed.
