Lucy's Coffee Shop

If you're after a decent coffee in town, Lucy's is a solid bet. It's got a 4.8 rating from over 120 reviews on Google, which is saying something. I pop in now and then when I'm in town and need a caffeine hit and a bit of cake. It's a proper sit-down place, not just a grab-and-go.

They do all the usual coffees and teas, plus light lunches and, importantly, cake. It's not the cheapest option, but you get what you pay for. It's a good shout if you're caught in a downpour and need somewhere to kill an hour or two. It's family run, which makes a change from the usual chains, and they're always friendly.

They're open every day except Sunday, 9 'til 3, which is handy to know. I'd say it's a good spot for meeting a mate or just having a read of the paper. You'll find it easily enough in the town centre.
