McDonald's Parking

Right, so McDonald's Parking in Birkdale... it's FREE, which is always a win in Southport, isn't it? It's only for McDonald's customers, mind you, so don't be thinking you can park there all day while you hit the shops. You'll get a ticket faster than you can say "double cheeseburger".

Location-wise, it's obviously right next to McDonald's in Birkdale Village, on Liverpool Road. Handy if you're nipping in for a quick bite. Birkdale Village itself is only a short walk from the train station, so it's not a bad spot if you're coming into town by rail.

It can get pretty busy, especially on weekends and during school holidays. You might have to circle a bit to find a space. They do have disabled bays, which is good to see. Honestly, it's a car park – not exactly exciting stuff, but free parking in Southport is worth knowing about.

Just remember, it's customers only. Don't chance it if you aren't planning on buying something from McDonald's. They are pretty hot on checking tickets.
