Barrique Wine Bar, Cafe & Deli

If you're knocking about Birkdale Village and fancy a decent glass of wine, Barrique is your best bet. It's got a solid 4.5 stars on Google from over 120 reviews, so it's not just me saying it. It's more of a wine bar vibe than a proper pub, mind you. Think relaxed chatter, not rowdy singing.

They've got a good selection of wines, obviously, plus a deli if you fancy some cheese or olives to go with it. It's open pretty late on Friday and Saturday (1 AM), but shuts a bit earlier on Sunday (10 PM). Closed Mondays, like a lot of places around here. The atmosphere is usually pretty chilled, good for a catch-up with mates or a date.

I wouldn't say it's the cheapest place in Southport, but you get what you pay for. Worth a visit if you're after something a bit classier than your average pint down the road. You can give them a ring on 01704 569402 if you want to check if they're showing any sports or anything.
