Chippy T

Alright, if you're in town and fancy some proper fish and chips, give Chippy T a go. It's got a solid 4.7 stars from 100 Google reviews, which is a good sign. I've been a few times and never had a bad experience. It's your classic chippy, nothing fancy, but they do the basics really well.

They're open most days, but the hours are a bit split – usually 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM for lunch, then again 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM (9:00 PM on Fridays). Closed Sundays though, so don't rock up then expecting a feast. It’s definitely a good shout for families, quick and easy, and the kids will love it. I reckon couples would be happy enough too for a casual bite.

It's in the town centre, so easy enough to get to, whether you're driving or on foot. It gets pretty busy on Friday and Saturday evenings, especially with the tourists, so maybe give them a ring on 01704 616947 to see if you can book a table – just to be sure.
