Right then, if you're after a Chinese takeaway in town, Number 57 Orient is one you'll find. It's been there for years, and you know what you're getting. They do all the usual stuff – Sweet and Sour, Chow Mein, the lot. Price-wise, it's about average for Southport, maybe a touch more than some of the others. Good for a quick bite for couples really, not loads of space to sit in with a big family.

Now, I'm not going to lie, the Google reviews are a mixed bag – 3.2 out of 5 from 94 reviews. Some people swear by it, others say it's gone downhill. I reckon it's one of those places where it depends what you order and when. I've had a decent meal from there myself, but I've also heard a few grumbles.
