Taj Mahal

If you fancy an Indian in town, you can't go far wrong with Taj Mahal on Lord Street. It's been there donkey's years, and the reason is simple: they do a solid job. The Google reviews back that up – 4.4 out of 5 from over 400 people is a good sign. I've been a few times myself.

It's not the cheapest curry house in Southport, but you get what you pay for. It's a pretty standard curry menu – all the usual suspects are there – but they do them well, and the service is always spot on. The atmosphere is relaxed, so it's good for both couples wanting a quiet night out or families with older kids. It's not really a place for a massive group of lads on a stag do, mind.

They're open every night from 5pm to 10pm, so you can always get a late tea in if you fancy. Weekends can get pretty busy, especially around 7-8ish, so it's probably worth giving them a ring on 01704 544991 to book a table if you're planning on going then.
