I know the area well, and it's a good spot – central enough for nipping about, but just off the main drag so you're not kept awake all night by stag dos. Now, if you're planning on coming to Southport for The Open at Birkdale in 2026 (12th to 19th July), you'll need to book well in advance. Places get booked up years ahead. The Heidi is dead handy for getting to the course.

One thing: parking in that area can be a bit of a pain, so check with them beforehand about what the score is with permits or nearby car parks.
