The Shake Factory (Southport)

Okay, so The Shake Factory... right in the town centre. If you've got a sweet tooth, this place is probably on your radar. They're all about desserts – milkshakes obviously, but also waffles, cookie dough, that sort of thing. Good for a sugar rush, definitely geared towards families and younger folks, but hey, who am I to judge? Sometimes you just need a massive milkshake, right?

The Google reviews are sitting at 3.5 stars from 31 reviews, so it's not winning any Michelin stars, but it seems to be a decent enough spot. Looking at the photos, it seems like a pretty casual place, somewhere to grab a quick treat rather than a fancy sit-down meal. I reckon it's more suited to families and couples looking for a sweet end to their day in Southport.

They're only open Friday to Sunday, 4pm to 11pm, so don't rock up mid-week expecting a sugar fix. You can give them a bell on 01704 510361 if you want to check anything. It might be worth booking ahead on a Saturday night, just to be safe – I can imagine it gets pretty busy with the younger crowd.
