British Red Cross Shop, Southport

Alright, if you're nipping into town, the British Red Cross shop on Lord Street is worth a look. It’s got a solid 4.0 rating from 5 Google reviews, so people seem happy enough. It's not huge, but they usually have a decent selection of clothes, books, and bric-a-brac. You know, the usual charity shop stuff.

It's handily located right in the middle of Southport town centre, so it's easy to pop in while you're doing your shopping. I've found some good bargains there myself over the years – a proper wool jumper last winter, and a couple of decent paperbacks for holiday reading. You're supporting a good cause too, of course, which is always a bonus.

They're open Monday to Saturday, 9 'til 5, but closed on Sundays like a lot of places still are around here. Give them a ring on 01704 548907 if you want to check if they have something specific in, or have a look at their website.

Lord Street parking can be a pain, so maybe try the side streets or the car park near the Atkinson if you're driving.
