About Glad Wags Dog Grooming Spa & Boutique
Need your pooch pampered? Glad Wags on Lord Street is a solid shout. They aren't the cheapest, but my sister-in-law swears by them for her Cockapoo, Alfie. He always comes back looking like he's been on holiday himself. They do the full works: cuts, washes, even "pawdicures", apparently.
It's a small spot, but well-kitted out and they seem to genuinely love dogs. The Google reviews back that up too – they're sitting pretty at 4.9 stars from 88 reviews, which is pretty darn good. Open most days except Tuesday and Sunday, from 8:45am to 4:30pm. Give them a bell on 07542 754681 to book.
Being right on Lord Street, parking can be a pain. Your best bet is the Central 12 car park and walking from there, or get the train to Southport Station.
Worth booking ahead, especially for Saturdays as they get busy.
