Alright, so you're after a bargain? Oxfam in town is a decent shout. It's on Lord Street, can't miss it. I popped in last week and they had some decent books and a surprisingly good selection of, well, you know, charity shop stuff. It's got a 4.6 star rating on Google from 9 reviews, so it's not just me who thinks it's alright.

It's not massive, mind you, but they pack it pretty well. Good for a browse if the weather's turned and you're stuck in town. Prices are what you'd expect – cheap as chips. You might find a proper steal if you're lucky. Don't expect designer gear, though. It's mostly your standard High Street brands that people have donated.

They're closed Sundays and Mondays which is a bit of a pain, but open 10 'til 4 Tuesday to Saturday. Give them a ring on 01704 531996 if you're after something specific before trekking into town.

One thing to remember is they don't have fitting rooms, so if you're buying clothes, it's a bit of a gamble.
