SPAR Town Lane

Need to grab something quick in town? The SPAR on Town Lane is usually my go-to. It’s not exactly a destination, mind you, but for locals and visitors alike, it’s dead handy being open from 7 in the morning till 10 at night, every day except Sunday when they open an hour later.

It’s a SPAR, so you know what you’re getting: snacks, drinks, a few bits for dinner if you're stuck. Don't expect a massive selection, but they cover the basics. The Google reviews are sitting at 3.9 stars from 8 reviews, so people seem generally happy enough for what it is. I'd say that's fair.

They've got a phone if you need to check if they stock something specific (01704 544542), and you can find them on the SPAR website if you want to be super organised. It's definitely on the budget end of things, so good if you're watching the pennies.

Just a heads up, parking around there can be a bit of a pain, especially during the day. Best bet is to walk if you can, or try your luck on one of the side streets.
