Need a watch battery replaced or a ring resized in Birkdale? The Jewellers Bench on Liverpool Road is your place. I popped in recently to get a bracelet fixed and the fella behind the counter was sound as a pound. They're not open Mondays or Sundays, so don't get caught out like I nearly did!
They're a proper jewellers, not just a place that sells stuff. They do repairs, custom designs, all that jazz. My wife got her engagement ring cleaned there and it came back sparkling like new. Google reviews are pretty good too, 4.7 stars from 13 reviews last time I checked, so it's not just me who thinks they're alright.
They're open Tuesday to Friday 9 'til 5, and Saturday mornings 9 'til 2. Give them a ring on 01704 808542 if you're after something specific.
Word of warning: parking in Birkdale Village can be a pain, especially on a Saturday. Give yourself a bit of extra time to find a space.
