The Range, Southport

Need something for the house, garden, or just a bit of leisure gear? The Range in Southport town centre is usually a decent shout. It's got a solid 4.2 stars from nearly 2,000 Google reviews, so most folks seem happy enough. You'll find the usual stuff: furniture, kitchen bits, garden tools – the kind of things you'd expect.

It's not exactly an independent shop, being a chain and all, but it’s handy having it right in town. Prices are pretty middle-of-the-road, nothing too crazy, but not always the rock-bottom cheapest either. I popped in last week for some weed killer and a new trowel and got sorted without any hassle.

They're open pretty long hours too. Weekdays and Saturdays it's 9am to 8pm, and Sundays it's 10:30am to 4:30pm. Give them a ring on 01704 531555 if you need to check if they stock something specific.

Parking in town can be a pain, especially on weekends, so factor that in. There's usually spaces at the back of the shop, but be prepared to circle a bit.
