Weldons on Lord Street is your spot if you're hunting for something a bit different than what you'd find in Beaverbrooks. They've got a decent selection of antique jewellery, plus some newer pieces too. It’s not the biggest place, but they pack a fair bit in.

They've been around for donkey's years – a proper Southport institution, like Fishers Tours or the old Woolworths. The 4.0 rating from 22 Google reviews seems fair; people generally seem happy with the service. It's not dirt cheap, mind, but you're paying for quality and something a bit out of the ordinary.

Lord Street parking can be a pain, especially on Saturdays, so give yourself plenty of time to find a spot.
